Update 24th February 2025 The charity Solent Rescue raffled the quilt they were given and raised £340, a much needed addition to their funds. These quilts have been made by members of our group, using material donated by Judy one of our members. Two will be sent to the Linus charity, the third is to be given to Solent Rescue to use as a raffle prize this year.
Quilt backs This years charity is Solent Rescue an independent lifeboat based at Lepe Country Park. Founded in 1971 initially as a beach rescue service it has grown into a lifeboat service, adhering to the Maritime and Coastguard agency's Rescue Boat Code like the RNLI. The charity is run entirely by volunteers and relies on donations and fund raising to keep up its work. |
