Group Project 2026

The group project for this year was a Black and Red quilt made from donated red and black material.

At the beginning of the year members were given two 15” squares, each with a different pattern, and asked to cut and re stitch them into two 12.5” squares. This produced some very interesting blocks.

Ros sashed and stitched these into a large quilt. Amanda then took over adding the batting and backing and quilted it on her long arm machine. Ros finished off the binding to produce this lovely quilt. This will be offered to our charity for the year, East Boldre Hedgehog Rescue, to be used to help raise funds. 

There were enough blocks left over for Margaret W to make a lap quilt that will also go to charity.
