What a wonderful morning! Members were asked to bring along a bag or bags they had made and the variety was amazing! Starting with Alison who bought along her what she called her ‘naughty buy’, a kit she purchased from a quilt show when she was looking for something else!

The second one from Alison was this useful tote, just right to carry quilting essentials to group meetings.

Ann P made this tote bag,  with the flying bird appliqué, at a workshop.

Anne W brought along four bags from her collection. This one she made up using a landscape panel she did at a workshop adding strips of flying geese, patchwork and braids.

This duffel bag was appliquéd to look like material! With a French braided handle it has made a useful work bag.
BagA tote bag this time with some lovely details, Anne said the most difficult part was joining the frill and piping to the top, plus a zip.

This bag was bought. as a kit, each block made separately then joined.

Angie felt she had a bargain when she picked up enough pre-cut squares in this William Morris material from a charity shop to make this useful tote, all for £1!

Barbara K brought along this useful wooden handled bag complete with an embroidered panel. The embroidery was the same pattern as she used on table cloths made for her family.

Amanda has been experimenting with her sewing machine to see if it could cope with cotton and leather materials. She is very happy with the way this slouchy bag has come together.

Using up scraps Wendy has made three different bags, all very useful. The ‘chicken’ one is used to hold string or wool threaded out through the beak! The tote used strips, as did the very pretty little handbag.

Sue made this much treasured bag from material she bought when she and her husband were away on their last holiday together. Sue has also made nearly one hundred tote bags for charity this year, she says it keeps her busy!
