NOTES FROM COMMITTEE MEETING
HELD ON THURSDAY 27TH SEPTEMBER 2012
Seating
Many of you commented on how much you enjoyed the way the tables were arranged at our last meeting. So with this in mind we thought we would try having the tables in one big block as an experiment. Any comments welcome.
Wear It Pink
This year it has been agreed that we raise money for the Cancer Support Centre in Hythe. Our “PINK DAY” will be 22nd October. The plan is to charge £2.00 to wear PINK, the raffle will be a £1 ticket and the proceeds of the refreshments will also be added to the collection. We plan to have a Bring and Buy Stall. Contributions for the stall and extra raffle prizes would be very welcome.
Christmas Lunch
The Christmas lunch will be at The Travellers Rest again this year on Tuesday 11th December at 12.30pm. The cost is £17.00 for two courses and £20.00 for three courses.
Christmas Project
We are going spend a morning at the first November meeting (12th) learning how to make Suffolk Puffs. These can then be made into a ChristmasTree design or if you do not want to work on a Christmas project they can be made from alternative fabric.
Other Matters
Janice has agreed to keep our web-site up to date while Alison is in Australia so please keep your news and comments coming in.
Barbara Saunders mentioned she is running low on prizes for the regular raffle. Any donations would be very welcome.
