Show-n-Tell

As an active group our members always have something interesting to show us at each meeting.

Show-n-Tell 27th March 2023

Members who came to our Christmas meeting won a fat quarter of material and today they showed us what they had made from these. They were allowed to add additional materials and they produced a wide range of different items.
sewing accessories Sara used hers to make items for her sewing room inc basket, needle case, scissor case and label and a zippered bag.

cushion cover

Carol did a Xmas cushion and used her material for one of the patches and the piping round the edge.

Fabric basketAnother fabric basket this one by Mary.

Cushion

Yvonne used the pretty blue material to appliqué onto a cushion and a useful storage bag.

Sewing tool pockets

Jan made some useful pockets for her sewing tools.

Scissor pouch

A useful scissor holder for three pairs of scissors and a cute hat for a dolly made by Wendy.

Table cloth

Penny used her to make this very attractive coffee table cloth.

Bag

An unusual shaped bag made by Lynne

Beach bag

Beach bag for a child to carry their own things, made by Jill.

Table topper

Margaret’s table topper and a zipped pouch.

And now onto some other items members have made this month.

PlacematsJean did some place mats using materials given to her.

Quilt Jan made this lovely quilt for her great grandson.

Linus have requested quilts suitable for teenagers on the cancer ward in the Southampton general hospital so this one is made by Alison for them.

Anne made this lovely appliqué circles quilt using both machine and hand stitching.

Cushion coverAnn P has been busy making a rail fence quilt from donated materials and cushion covers from a pillow case.

Wall hanging Anne W has made this pretty bag and a wall hanging.

Blocks Blocks Janice has made this ‘magic’ block, one of many she has made, with their many coloured sides they provide amusement for small children.
