As an active group our members always have something interesting to show us at each meeting.

Show-n-Tell 11th March 2024

Lots of items this meeting made from the fat quarters won at Christmas.

Sara did this knitting needle case plus a scissors case from her fat quarter

crochet hook rollAnother knitting needle roll and a crochet hooks roll this time made by Mary.

bag

cushion coversJoyce made a little bag, she has also been busy making cushion covers for a friend.

ruler pocketJan made this ruler pocket.

mini quilt

This mini quilt was made by Wendy, she had a small panel rather than a fat quarter, with some clever cutting it has made a lovely cuddle quilt for a child.

This smart Dresden plate design cushion cover was made by Margaret, the border was her fat quarter.

pursescat quiltsLizzie made two lovely zippy pouches with her fat quarter, plus she has been busy with this cat themed quilt she has made for a friend.
bag and bunnyeaster rabbitJill T used her fat quarter to make this little Easter bunny bag, then dressed the Easter bunny and Easter Bunny's mum in the material that was left over.

sewing machine cover

Lindy made a useful sewing machine cover from hers, the dark squares proving a good contrast to other material she had.

scissor holder

Angie's scissors holder, this holds two pairs of scissors, made from hers.

draw string bag

 

Jill W made this Japanese inspired draw string bag.

xmas stockingLynn had Christmas fabric in her cracker, so she made up this Christmas stocking plus a serviette holder.

cushion handbag organisersBarbara made these handbag organisers using cathedral window technique. She also had enough to make a cushion front.

quilt

Margaret W didn't like to cut up her lovely fat quarter so kept cutting to the minimum and made this attic window to look at the woodland design.

bunting

Carol made this bunting, the dark pink was her fat quarter, she says it is going to be used behind a sales table to brighten it up!

This bottle holder was made by Becca from the fat quarter she won at Christmas. We will be showing all the other items made from our fat quarters prizes at our next meeting!

A mix of work this meeting starting with these two table centres made by Barbara, who has decided she doesn’t want to do anything more with angles for a while!

Alison went to a group meeting where she made this busy ‘fidget’ quilt for sufferers of dementia.
